The Design of Muse + Maven Lash + Beauty Studio

I get asked a lot, “Who designed your studio?!” The squad that helped bring it all together consists of Jessica Hanley of Loft + Maven and Jack Livesey of Tri-City General Contractors. Not to mention my husband Jeff who did break quite the sweat on many occasions.

So many details were on my original Pinterest board when dreaming about the beauty studio I would eventually open. From the vintage looking pink phone, to the line drawing wallpaper, to pink velvet curtains, to the contrasting concrete floor. When I met with Jessica for our initial design meeting and her presentation completely mirrored my vision — I knew it would be perfect.

Thanks to the COVID lockdown hustle of Jack, we were able to complete the demolition of the previous tenant’s design and finish construction and inspections in time to open during the start of Phase 2 of BC’s re-opening. What could have been a nightmare scenario was a pretty amazing experience thanks to the design + build talents of Jessica and Jack.
