HOW WE LASH SAFELY
As we gradually return to lashing as part of BC’s Phase 2 reopening of Personal Service Establishments, we want to keep you informed of how we are committed to client health as we proceed through the COVID pandemic.
THE NEW NORMAL
We all know it’s not quite back to normal life for a while yet but we’re excited to ease back into lashing slowly and safely. We’ve been working hard behind the scenes trying to sort out guidelines and government recommendations for best practices. We have been in direct communication with the Coquitlam/Port Moody public Health officer from Fraser Health to ensure our plan going forward is solid.
Additional sanitation and hygiene certifications by Barbicide and the World Health Organization have been added to our repertoire and will become part of our requirements for all staff.
There are several main changes to how we will work at the studio. Some are temporary and some may be indefinite. As we need to work at a lower capacity and increase physical distancing, we are reducing the number of clients we see in a day, restricting number of employees that can work at any one time, and spending more time in between clients to deep clean and sanitize.
Additional policies in place include limiting appointments to pre-booked only, not allowing guests with our clients, more physical space between treatment areas and no waiting area.
Because we need to remain on a strict 1:1 interaction, the front door will remain locked during business hours. Clients will need to arrive at your appointment time and wait to be greeted at the door and let into the studio. If you did not complete the COVID intake form sent with your appointment reminder, you will be asked a small list of screening questions.
There will be a table at the entrance with alcohol based hand sanitizer to use when you arrive and leave, as well as single-use masks if you forget to bring your own well-fitting face covering (scarves are OK). Please note that we have a limited supply of face masks so we are encouraging everyone to bring their own. We are also asking clients to come with as little personal items as possible, including food or drinks. Washroom facilities will be available and disinfected between uses, however it is preferred if you use yours at home.
As it stands, we will always listen out for your feedback, questions and concerns about safe operation during the pandemic.
We’ll get through this together and look forward to seeing all of you back at our new studio soon.
