We want to keep you informed of how we are committed to client health as we proceed through the COVID pandemic.
Aug 2021 update – we are still requiring masks while in the studio due to the nature of our close contact with clients and the prevalence of the Delta variant.
We all know it’s not quite back to normal life for a while yet but we are glad to be back at the studio working safely. During the shutdown, we were working behind the scenes sorting out guidelines and government recommendations to ensure we have implemented the best practices for your health and safety. In direct communication with the Fraser Health Environmental Safety Officer, we developed a solid return to work plan.
Additional sanitation and hygiene certifications by Barbicide and the World Health Organization have been added to our repertoire and will become part of our requirements for all staff.
There are several changes to how we work at the studio. Some are temporary and some may be permanent. We are reducing the number of clients we see in a day, restricting number of employees that can work at any one time, and spending more time in between clients to deep clean and sanitize.
Additional policies in place include limiting appointments to pre-booked only, not allowing guests or children with our clients, more physical space between treatment areas and no waiting area.
Because we need to remain on a strict 1:1 interaction, the front door may be locked during business hours when we are with other clients. Clients will need to arrive at their appointment time and may need to wait to be greeted at the door and let into the studio if the door is locked or we are wrapping up with other clients.
There will be a table at the entrance with alcohol based hand sanitizer, as well as single-use masks for clients who forget to bring one. Scarves are OK to bring as a face covering. Please note that we have a limited supply of face masks so we are encouraging everyone to bring their own. We are also asking clients to come with as little personal items as possible, including food or drinks. Washroom facilities will be available and disinfected between uses, however it is preferred if you use yours at home.
As it stands, we will always listen out for your feedback, questions and concerns about safe operation during the pandemic.
We’ll get through this together and we very much look forward to seeing all of you at the studio.
